Recipe: Lemon-Pepper Bacon Twists

Bacon Week Recipe 4:  Lemon-Pepper Bacon Twists (our final Bacon Week recipe)

This is a different version of our Spicy Bacon Twists.  Obviously, its not as spicy.  But its just as easy.  You can make these ahead of time as well.

Ingredients:

Bacon

Lemons (about 1 lemon for 4 slices of bacon)

Ground Pepper

Mrs. Dash (optional)

Directions: Preheat oven to 350.  Lay out all of the bacon on a sheet of wax paper.  Cut a lemon in half.  Squeeze 1/2 of the lemon over the strips of bacon.  Grind some pepper over the bacon.  Add a shake or two of Mrs. Dash.  Flip the bacon.  Repeat.

Twist each bacon strip several times.  Place on cookie sheet.  Bake for 30 minutes.

Allow to cool.
